: Cheers,
I may have been a bit harsh there, I had just come from reading gushing reviews of the total mess that Peter Jackson has made of LotR so I apologize if I was a bit less than my normally cheerful (though critical) self. Nobody has been more interested than I in trying to get to the meat of Halo's story, as you can tell by checking my HBO posts. I've wondered aloud about there about 343GS, his familiarity with the character, the previous Flood outbreak and your possible involvement in their containment. I've also mentioned Cortana's relationship with Keyes, the Halo's religious meaning for the Covenant, the Forerunners use of the Flood. I've even asked for help collecting it all so the Halo version of the story page can get started. I'm sure there are things I've missed. I've only played through it completely once but I still feel like it's lacking. Probably because, as you've mentioned, the story needs to be able to stand alone as a single game, and I and others just assume there will be multiple episodes, or that it would be clearly tied into Bungie's established Marathon universe. Thanks for replying, I look forward to the twists and turns that I still hope will arrive in the future to tie everything nicely together, or not. - eli |
