Actually, I'm not sure that is an actual prediction from mainstream quantum theory. I have read recently that it is a possible ad hoc heuristic to bring quantum theory and relativity together meaningfully. Essentially, the gist went that there was no such thing as time as we understand it (cause and effect have different relationships in quantum mechanics), but that what we perceive as time are infinite universes, each of them not in motion, but we glide from one to another at each instantaneous moment. Hence, motion is an illusion. However, I'm not sure I buy into it with essentially no empirical support. It is interesting, though. Cheers, Ben
