	In Response To: Re: Duality and Halo?! (Soapstone) : No, I think that quote is literally describing a torus consisting wholly of : air. Halo, however, is not so much a torus of air as it is a solid ring : with air and water trapped on the inner surface. Interesting to note that Niven's books The Integral Trees and The Smoke Ring postulate just such a torus of air -- i.e. a gravity free environment habitable by humans -- just as Niven's Ringworld appears to have been an inspiration for Halo. I don't know what the further developments of the Duality story were (although story scripts are rumored to still be out there...) but from the screen shots, characters, etc. that came later I suspect this particular low-g environment may have been abandoned. -F
