The problem is a company in the position that bungie is now would have the resources to make Halo fit into the existing Marathon time line, and right now it makes no-god-damned-sence. The date are all wrong, and nothing fits in a logical way. So far bungie has made it very sketchy if Halo is IN or OUT of the Mara-verse. its Ambugity at its most extreme... commone bungie pick a side and GO with it!
