Who is the man named Hamish Sinclair?

Howdy everyone.

Last night, while putting a new water bottle on my water cooler, I thought of something that puzzled me: why doesn't Hamish talk about himself?

Perhaps it's just a privacy thing. I can respect that. But since we're such a tight-knit community we tend to be more open about ourselves than other online communities centered on one game. (At least I think I am). But sometimes I wonder about the man behind the website. What causes him to constantly reexamine a game for context clues for six years? Pure dedication? Or an insatiable sense of paranoia? I don't know, but I can't help but ask.

I've searched for his name on some search engines and found some stuff. I think I even found a picture of him on the tcd.ie website (with a Mac in the background! but I couldn't see any Marathon stuff on the desktop).

So, Hamish, who are you? Irish, it seems. But without refering to blatant Irish stereotypes I can't deduce anything else. Arg, this is frustrating.

Why do I ask this? I believe I have somewhat of a tendency to play the psychologist and try to analyze why people do the things they do. If I can figure out their motives I can imitate them if I wish to accomplish the same thing they have done.

I certainly admire Hamish's dedication. It is something worthy of emulation, I personally believe. So please do not be offended, Mr. Sinclair. I would be honored if someone asked me this if I was admired, because it's kinda like trying to know the man behind the hero.

Ah, what the hell. I know I'm not the only one out there who wants to know. If it pleases you, you can even leave some sort of enigmatic blurb that will ignite a flurry of activity on the message boards of the numerous websites that are dedicated to hero-worshiping you, I'm sure. ^_^

Vale, amici,

Jonathan Bahamon
