I was thinking about this for a long time. Why would the Marathhon be designed the way it was. The setup was illogical while the G4 station was logical. Then it dawned on me. The were carving into an unstable moon. (Not to mention, bungie was trying to make wacky levels) You can only build the corridors that the inside of the moon would let you. If you dug a passageway a wrong way, boom, the moon would colapse in on itself.... so in reality the inside of the Marathon is built logically. When it came to the outside, they didn't have to worry as much about the structural problems, so they made a very square logical layout of the antenna station. |
