	In Response To: Re: mysterious start-location (REB) : I had a theory about this some time ago: at the end of Pathways the player : enters a large, dark corridor. The door behind the player's starting : location in Marathon is the door at the end of this dark corridor. For me, : that was the way Bungie tied both games. : I mail this theory to Hamish and he replied the player teleports from the pod : to that location because opening the hangar's door would had exposed the : entire level to vacuum as Hanger 7A is open to space. : This makes sense. Behind that door I mentioned early there's a little room : that can act as a teleporter. : But : 1) Teleporters on M1 doesn't have doors : 2) This room doesn't have the default metallic texture seen on the rest of : the teleporters in the game (I checked it with Pfhorte) I never said the player teleports from the Pod since there is no evidence for this. Indeed the manual states: "Judging it safe, you thrust over to one of the empty MP docking bays. You pull out your pistol, and pound the switch to open the door." So the player exits the Pod via the door and makes it over to the airlock and the game starts. He can't use the main hangar door because the bay has been decompressed. Cheers Hamish
