: yea maby, there is a tomb raider movie, final fantasy , warhammer and many
: others, Why not marathon. LETS TELL BUNGIE THAT WE WANT A MARATHON MOVIE

Before demanding a Marathon movie, you might want to think about how it could be written. Marathon has an incredibly deep story, most of which would not fit into two (or even three) hours. Also, three of the four main characters are not physical beings, and cannot directly participate in any action onscreen. In order to transform Marathon into a movie, there would have to be a party of Bobs travelling with the Marine to provide dialogue (the Marine never has any conversations with the AIs), but the Bobs couldn't have any real indication that the Marine is a cyborg (i.e. using health rechargers, being 6'4", etc.). Having the Marine in a group also wouldn't fit well with Durandal's plans, but Durandal could just separate the Marine from the Bobs whenever he needs the Marine alone.

A Marathon movie is possible, but it would be an incredibly huge amount of work, and could only be done by Bungie. Or Hamish Sinclair.

After all, what Hollywood writer would have any idea of what the Gheritt White terminal means?
