	In Response To: Hmm... (Dan Aris) Well, you have to make the distinction between "owning" and "having the right to use." In this situation, there are probably several parties that have a copy of the source, but only one party that can legally use it, and that's GoD/Take2. That said, Oni Master (his page is linked from oni central) has been able to achieve the remarkable feat of controlling two characters on the same map using two computers via scripting. He reported a 5.6s ping (heh). Maybe some people who were at those Mac Expos back when Bungie had LAN play can report how well it worked. -gh : Who actually owns the source now?? Is it Bungie, who made it, or GODGames, : who published it (to whom Bungie tossed it in their last free breaths). : 'Cause if Bungie owns it, that means (*shudder*) M$ owns it, and when was : the last time you saw them opening any source code without being : required to by the courts? And if GODGames owns it, well, I don't know : much about them, but I doubt they're quite so fan-centered in their image : and mindset. That means they're much less likely to release source for : something. It would be more than fantastic if it were to happen, I just : wouldn't hold my breath...even for 7 years. : Dan Aris
