I have to agree with you. I downloaded Dork Forces and Doom off of abandonware sites just to see what they were like. Horrible! I like Marathon MUCH better. It has a deep, deep plot, mouselook; nice levels, weapons, and enemies; works better (doom crashes), looks better (Marathon plays in millions of colors), sounds better, just plays better. The enemies are smarter, the design is great. It's just that good. =^)
