My impression when I saw this for the first time was of an embryo of some sort. (Gah, I'm forgetting Rubicon as we speak, damn dementia! : ) ) Perhaps this is relevant to what happens in the chapter? Uhh... Maybe it sigifies the birth of the players awareness as to Lysander's real intentions? On second thought, I'll withhold from that sort of discussion from now on. I seem to be very bad at it. : )
