In Response To: Re: Who else wants to conjecture about Phoenix? (Agent Cletus) Looking at both pics (including the 'flying Santa') I would suggest that a trebuchet is involved. A trebuchet was a medieval weapon of war used to hurl stones at castles, the enemy, your mom etc. The Roman equivalent was called a mangonel. So I would guess a medieval RPG is the most likely suspect. Interesting snippet: Someone has constructed a full-sized trebuchet to hurl people for fun in a thrill-seeking excercise not unlike bungie-jumping (can you see where I'm going here?). I can't remember the exact details, but I'm sure this was in the UK. The idea is that this thing tosses you into a huge net - with hilarious consequences. I think some injuries were involved.... |
