Or does Jjaro technology allow storing ones and zeroes in : vacuum? =) No, its the amount of mass that will determine if there is a collapse or not, Durandal talks about this. And using the trith zeem (however you spell it) wouldn't work either. Its an "early nova" device, and novae do not remove mass, they mearly blow up the star, spreading the mass around. Sinking stars into black holes wouldn't work either, as then the black holes would just have a higher mass. So how did he plan to do it? Well good question, Tycho seems to think it has to do with folding planets[stars]. I always thought that he meant to fold them somewhere else, into another dimension or something, that would probably remover their mass. Or you could transfer the mass into energy, buy that wouldn't be easy, and you'd have a huge amount of energy left over, sides, this may not work anyway.
