In Response To: Re: How should I formulate argument for Marathon? (John Denton) : There are plenty of games out for mac. Hell, I'm having trouble keeping up
Yeah, there are lots of games for the Mac. But all the ones that are worth playing have been ported and despite all of the Mac games out there, you still don't have Half Life. If you haven't played Half Life, then you're missing one of the greatest computer game experiences ever. It's what the other games out there have been trying to live up to over all of these years. And let us not forget counter-strike, a Half Life add-on. Counter-Strike is the best multiplayer game that I have played since Marathon. Marathon is more fun for LAN parties I think since it's just raw comedic fun. Ok, now I'm about to start going off on a huge tangent. I am under the opinion that Linux is for work, Windows is for games and a lot of the media content on the 'net, and Macs are for content creation (graphics of any kind). That is all changing with the improvements and work going into OS X. I have yet to give OS X a whirl. I think I'll hop on when 10.2 comes out. That and Quark Xpress for X. -Kazem -Kazem |
