In Response To: Episode IV: A New Paradigm (Rick Blaine) : What the heck, let's go even further out on this limb. The nature of the KYT
I would see it more as being the other way around--the Jjaro and the W'rkncacnter are the projections of these timeless, ultimate opposites into our universe. And we are, perhaps, the agent and personification of the Eternal Champion, forever striving to balance the evil done by the Eternal Foe. : And now for the big leap... Jjaro & W'rkncacnter can be considered
OK, that's not a leap I would have thought of...but it's a pretty cool idea. Personally, though, I prefer something more along the lines of twins, or otherwise siblings, one eternally rebelling, the other eternally cleaning up after his sister.
The question, of course, is in what realm do these entities reside? Have they escaped? Because if so, well, then we know what they are...Durandal told us (and was he part of them, too? Was he simply following some pattern that his Jjaro-ness told him would lead him beyond the bounds of this universe, as that part of him had done, long ago?).
For parallels, I call your attention to Babylon 5, in which there are two ancient races, the Vorlons and the Shadows. They both seek to advance the younger races, but the Vorlons do it through order--long peaces, where they can grow slowly--and the Shadows through chaos--every 1000 years or so, they come out and start a war; whoever's alive at the end is stronger because of it. Turns out they are both sort of "children" to another alien, the First One.
Dunno, maybe it's not as parallel as I thought. Oh, well.
