	In Response To: Re: Time-scale (Tru7h) : dont forget the Turnip conversation : anyway the thing that bugs me is that if Halo's gravity runs on rotation, you : would cease to be affected by it as soon as you seperated yourself from : the ground (e.i. jump) : -Tru7h : -what do you do with the worlds biggest turnip? Wouldn't you still be affected by Halo's mass? Just because it's ring-shaped and spinning doesn't necessarily mean that there isn't a (somewhat weaker) gravitational field in addition to the centrifugal force. But is the speed of Halo's rotation even fast enough to generate centrifugal force? It may very well be that Halo's gravity is resulting strictly from its mass. But then again, physics isn't exactly my forte, so I really wouldn't be surprised to discover that I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about.
