| In Response To: AGAIN: WHY YOU/HE DIDN'T KNOW? (paolo) Well, don't forget that the Marine had been living in the colony, not actually on the Marathon. It's likely that the only people on the Marathon at that point were the skeleton crew needed to keep it running and the scientists doing research there (I don't actually remember any mention of who was there when it began). He may have only been on the Marathon for the cold-sleep journey from Earth (and possibly a short time while the colony was being set up).
