: There's actually even more people than that helping out with the little bits
: they can, including myself, but the place was created and footed by
: FM..Basically, there are a lot of people doing a lot of free work for them
: fans and that needs to be recognized at some point. Thank you for what you
: said Claude.

I knew I was asking for trouble listing only three people. :)

Yeah, there are many people who contribute/have contributed time/design work/etc to the site; it's bigger than Fm. However... he DOES do all the back-end programming (which is what makes it so useful :) ), and he DOES pay all the bills.

My own contributions are relatively small, in fact. I did the initial design work on the (Marathon) site, and I maintain it - but that simply means approving (or rejecting, for explicit reasons) files submitted for archiving. It means checking in once a day, downloading the files that show up (to make sure they're not corrupt, and that they conform to the rules), and hitting the 'approve' button. :)

The place was designed well enough to run itself, for the most part. :)

That said... without the folks designed the individual portals, those who tested it, and so on... it wouldn't be up and running. They all count.

(None of them will see any of the funds that come in via this new subscription service - those funds will go to pay for the bandwidth. The folks who help, help for free.)
