: Why do I so dislike this level? I mean, it's action-packed, has lots of
: opportunity for exploration and a look at Leonardo's ingeneous system of
: locks. Is it that there are so many ways to die before reaching the first
: pattern buffer? Is it the low water level that makes it devilishly
: difficult to get up onto dry land? Is it the false hope of the first
: teleporter? Is it that there are just too many ambushes? Maybe it's all of
: these.
I found that it's quite easy (on Normal at least) to just run run run your pants off and never get hit. But yes, the water was insanely irritating...
: The terminal on this level is another one from Biagio da Cesena in which he
: notifies the Council that he has acquired Leonardo's manuscript. But not
: for long ;^)
Another one? The last one was from Bernardo Cirillo. Anyway, this terminal disproves my assertion that the Pfhor took the manuscript at the end of Brain Damage and may also remedy the Lorenzo issue. Biagio makes it clear that he left Venice to steal the manuscript so Leonardo must still be in Milan and Lorenzo could very well still be alive.
There are many rumors in the countryside, wherever Leonardo has passed. The rabble murmurs that Leonardo's death will be soon, because of the ghost which follows him.
It appears S'Bhuth isn't being all too careful in ensuring his clandestine state. It seems to me that if a member of the S'Pht race wishes to remain unseen, he will be. Maybe he has underestimated the simple but superstitious minds of 15th century Italian countrymen.
