I'm confused. You guys seem to think the reason Mr. Levinson wrote that thread was because the "M1 vs the rest" topic has been overdone. I'm sure it has, its been what? 7 years?
I took it as him not liking the fact that the thread was about M1 vs M:D and Moo and I started talking about Soundgarden. I guess I kinda "hijacked" the thread and turned it in a different direction. But, the Soundgarden thing started off in talking about how I liked the music from M1 and thought it sounded like a particular soundgarden song. I also said that I have never seen anyone make the connection between the game music and that particular album anywhere, so it wasn't like I was just bringing up an already stale issue. I'm actually curious, and have been since 1994. And, seeming as how this is a marathon bulletin board, someone else might've noticed.
That's why I tried to bring it back up too. I've never seen anyone make that connection *anywhere.* As far as I can tell, I'm the only one who's ever noticed. I figured with all us sci-fi nerds here trying to dig up as much data as possible, this might strike someone's curiosity and actually cause them look into it, if it already hasn't.
Either way, I still stick to my idea that this is an internet bulletin board, and its not like the lives of people everywhere are dependent on it. So, don't get mad if someone hijacks your thread. Just nicely turn it around and bring it back. Remember kindergarten? Treat people with kindness and they'll return it. :)
