After turning z-buffer on it's about the same with my G4/400 with a Rage Pro-128 16MB. With 5 pfhors on the screen the game runs smoothly and with another two it's still fully playable.

I've grown to like OS X and see it as a good thing altho i still have some mixed feelings about it. Anyway, i still use the classic version of A1 since the carbon version holds to many bugs for my taste. In another year or two i might know enough programming to help you out but until then, sorry... :(
