: I had no problemo with speed. I have an eMac 700 Mhz with a GeForce 2 32Mb.

##Huge twisted black coils of envy##

: Everything worked quite beautifully, as long as there were not more than
: about six or seven of these buggers on the screen. But I have to admit
: that UT can do better.
: As to the models not being perfect, these were preview models and M will
: probably opimize them some more, I'm sure...

Thanks for the faith.
And yah, one target was building pfhor+tutorial and showing off what is possible in A1. It's just lowly self-interest, now mapmakers can astonish me with 3d-thins :)

I'll change the dying sequences, am not satisfied by them myself, but there is so much one can do with the model-animation, maybe I can insert a few small planes with splatter uv-map in the pfhor. (And ofcourse, when I finally have a nice splatter, particle-effects will be available)

Next target will be getting the 3d-pfhor playable. Obviously a 1.970-triangles-model makes a big impact, so getting that lower is a pre. The 600+ mHz bastages seems to have no problem, while me 400 iMac is taxed, I ditched playing A1 on my ol' 7100 Powermac along time ago.

The 3d-pfhor are build a bit sloppy, in the sense that I have 4 models for different ranges of animation (combat/non-combat/harddead/softdead). With some smarter modelling I can maybe get the fps lower.
The uv-map can also use a lot of luvv and attention.

I made 4 screendumps with different settings.
Funny enough, on the simple cube all 4 textures are added and they make not a big dent in the fps, I had expected the textures to be more demanding, but keeping track of 70 x 1970 triangles is obviously a bigger jobby.

: Oh, and I use classic, OSX is not compatible with me at anything, in fact, I
: wish apple would never have bothered with this new clumpsy OS at all...

Ditto here, although for creating animated models... OSX is needed.
