In Response To: Re: closure of the universe (millionmice)

We must also postulate that Durundal may actuly be trying to go back in time. Although there is no real eveidence to support this therome exept the following:

1. Durundal does not know there will ever be another universe, or infact if this universe witll be made of the same stuff as this one. Unless Jjarro had figured this out (notice we never see any of these guys througout the story? I am pretty sure they either went back in time or figured out that there is another universe and went to it or killed each other with those realy nasty wepons (ie The Early Nova Device)).
2. If he goes back in time it is possible for him to make sure he goes back in time (this is very confussing but infact possible). It may also explain the good old feeling that you have done this all befor. If Durundal takes you with him (or in fact uses you to help himself to the past) he can become a God (as he will control all the events he can and thus is a practical diegthy). He can also use you as his pawn for whatever he pleases.
3. At the begining of Infinity Durundal complains that he can no longer predict you (you in fact go on to the over side once or twice to prove this fact) is this evidence that the God Durundal has taken over? Who knows.
4. Once Durundal goes back in the past he has already outlived the universe (this is terribly hard thing to prove but is in fact true. Just trust me on this one) thus he has become more godlike than before and with all that extra time he has a chance to search for somthing even more powerful (created by a even more powerful race, or he may run into the Jjarro),
anyway thats my 2 cents on the matter...
