Maybe the Halo universe : is the Jjaro Valhalla or an incarnation of it. Was the marine even ever : really the one in control? Certainly he was a warrior, but did he really : have control over destiny or did someone else? I think the issue goes to: Is the "player" in control? In my interpretation, he is not making his own choices until the end of Infinity (read: lots of Story fory lurking) ;^) That is the point at which he becomes a "hero" -- the overcoming of his masters. Maybe. This is an issue that I am somewhat uncertain about: Is the player in control of desicions, or was he always designed to be a "hammer" (he wasn't named "mjolnir" by Durandal, as far as we can tell). Durandal is simply taking the hammer back from Strauss, and Strauss took him from the government's special forces. In all these situations -- as Durandal rightly says -- a slave. Shem
