How to send $$ to Canada 101

Well, since I deal with quite a few people online via eBay auctions, I know how it works. You would send a U.S Money Order, drawn from a U.S. Bank (hence, U.S. funds) to me in Canada.
All I do is bring it to my bank, and they cash it out into the current Canadian equivilant.

I'll let you know the results of the shirt washing. My brithday parties about an hour away right now, so I'll see if I can get around to doing a load of wash after my guests leave.
