In Response To: Is Bungie indebted to Doom? (Andrew Nagy) : I think someone might have their timeline out of order.... Bungie did better things with Deimos than id ever did. Let's see... I think it was floating over hell or something, for some unclear reason other than to surprise the player or something when he dies. Er... is that right? All I remember is that the player dies, wakes up in Deimos (then why doesn't he go to Deimos when he dies in Episode 1?), kills the cyberdemon lurking on the one-floor bite size Tower of Babel, goes to Hell, which is apparatnly a land of ugly textures and poorly placed "trees"... kills some brain monster from a 50s B movie with two chainguns... I feel very sorry for the guys who LIKED Doom's story, I really do. |
