No, I really think that the mentor is Durandal. Since alfred is very specific about it appearing exactly twice in the entire Marathon series and since Durandal "dies" exactly twice, I think that we're talking about something that is common to the levels "Begging for Mercy" and "Hang Brain". I just can't think of anything really unique about these levels. And I'm not sure how the "vengeful dreams" clue fits in, here. At this point, I'm ready for *anyone* to solve this one - it's driving me crazy!
