Battleroids
Posted By: JonahDate: 5/22/01 6:13 p.m.

A battleroid is an extreamly formidable weapon. One that is kept in storage and not used, like nuclear weapons. Why is this?
I would think that a battleroid would have little chance against, say, a tank, and wouldn't have to be so feared.

I have a theory on this: I think all battleroids, at least the Mjolnirs, were made using the same Jjaro technology. This technology allows them to use the "pattern buffers" (which for some reason are everywhere) to travel back in time, like when we save the games.
Think about it: A battleroid is put up against a enemy force he has a tiny 1% chance of winning. He goes to a pattern buffer right before the battle. Then he runs out, guns blazing, fights, and dies quickly. Then he starts back out at the pattern buffer. If he does this enough times, chances are he will succeed eventually. I think this is why battleriods were so "extreamly effective", becuase they would not loose any battles unless they had a zero chance of success.

This is what Durandal means by "Hopeless encounters successfully won", I believe. Also "you were dead a thousand times".

Is this the accepted theory?
