In Response To: Re: seventh column (SalsaShark) Hello all, None of my three Latin dictionaries contains the word "perinaeum." I can guess why--see below. Anyway, "non facete" is a grammatically incorrect attempt to say "don't make." (It should be "nolite facere.") Nobis means "to us" literally, but the intent is to use it as the object of "facete." So, it is supposed to say "Don't make us kick your -something-," and I think we can all make a pretty good guess as to what "perinaeum" is supposed to be, given Bungie's famous motto. Note that this motto appears on the "Bungie Coat of Arms," distributed on some stickers and whatnot. Bungie may be the first software company (or any company, for that matter) to translate Beavis and Butthead-inspired phrases into Latin. Note also that "vestrum" is the plural form of "your," which is to say that it refers to multiple people, presumably all of us. However, perinaeum looks like a singular noun in the accusative case, which seems to imply that we all have one, big, collective arse. How interesting...! Sincerely, -Max Etchemendy
