In Response To: Volunteers: Ne Cede Malis (Mark Levin) Something has gone horribly wrong. You're on an oddly familiar ship. There's the terminal at the end of the hall with the pfhor lying in wait, the door that only opens halfway, the maze of dark, cramped halls, the Pfhor ship visible through the ship's windows... But along with the familiarty comes a sense of panic and disorientation. Durandal, unflappable, arrogant Durandal is admitting that his death is coming, and tells you to escape to Tycho's ship while you still can. Outside the station, chaos rages as Lho'owon is destroyed. Something has gone horribly wrong. But inside, everything seems oddly calm. For some reason, the level seems to move in slow motion. This was the first Marathon level I'd ever played, back in the Infinity demo, so the sense of deja vu worked backwards for me. ;) I'm pretty familiar to it, so even though the level seemed to be in slow motion, I went through the level in slow motion at a break-neck speed. I didn't even fall off the jumping platform puzzle! Yay! Anyway, I found the switches, went into the brightly lit Death Starish area, thousands sailed, and I was teleported to the coolest chapter screen ever. |
