The Jjaro built Halo. Either that, or Durandal [?Leela] got bored and felt like building somthing big. Hmmm, maybe its the rogue star Durandal was talking about. And Leela could have escaped from the Vayle (sp?) network and started, ummm, building huge artifacts in space for some reason.
Of course, none of the above would have a good reason that we know of to build somthing like Halo. Maybe it can be used to prevent closure.
Durandal has the ability to build somthing like this, with the Jjaro space station that can use gravity, and then just use a ship to transport animals and plants. The Vayle (sp?) seem to be quite advanced, Leela could have stolen tech or knowledge, Durandal sure had an easy tiem of stealing stuff from the Pfhor. And the Jjaro, well, they could fold a planet out of a system. 'Nuff said.
