I am impressed with Halo's graphics. There might be other games with graphics of equal quality, but that doesn't mean that Halo is going to be just another game on the shelf. I don't know of any other game where the player can switch from going on foot to driving a jeep to flying a plane. The graphics are not the most picturesque, but the game play looks unparalleled in the range of tactics that can be used at one time. I want to play this game to use tactics instead of relying on the lone wolf of unreal tournament to take a flag and run back with it.
I also have another comment: Why is it we still play marathon, and myth after they have been around for several years and the boxes are collecting dust. We play them because the game play and story lines are unbelievable and not matched. Not because of how pretty it is when a pfhor’s corpse sails down a hallway. However much fun that is.
