The beauty of Hamish's page is that it was more or less a moderated mailing list. You sent him your wild ideas, and he'd post the stuff that was cool and on the right track. The forum could now be considered Hamish's "Jumping the Shark" moment :-) Although it'll still be fun to see how Hamish decides to filter the stuff that does get posted here en route to the news page, by the very nature of the forum's existance, we eliminate the middle man. Which I don't think is such a bad thing, since Hamish has been TIRELESSLY maintaining the page for years now. Let the old man have a rest!
Of course, if we just fill the forum with ramblings (like this one) we have nothing to worry about: Hamish will still be busy sorting through the 'real' emails. So don't move to NY yet, Mr. Sinclair sir. :)
My only fear is for the first 'nasty' post. I actually fear for that poster, because he/she/it will witness the wrath of the Hamish supporters like nobody's business. Think of how Durandal would act if he had a migraine, stubbed his toe, and found out his mother-in-law was coming over to visit for the holidays. That's only a fraction of the anger the poor pathetic poster would receive from this end.
