: The real Scary thing is the fact that we don't even know who we're going to
: war against. It's frightening how easy terrorism is when you think about
: it. There have beeen many plane hijakings, bomb threats and hostage
: situation. the only reason something like this hasn't happened before is
: only because of shear will. Terrorism is a battle for power and press
: coverage, and it will take a lot more than JC Denton, or The Rainbow Six
: team to stop it.
It's unlikely the US will go to a full scale war, because this vile action wasn't made by another government. Chances are another operation like Dessert Storm will take place on Afghanistan to hunt down Osama bin Laden, and some of you, young americans, may join the armed forces by your own will. I want to take the chance to express my condolence to the community for what happened today. When I saw that plane burst into flames against the second tower, my heart stopped: there was people in there! What's wrong with these fanatics? Don't they value Human life?! The US made a military operation against the former dictator of my country 12 years ago - I was 14 back then. I got the chance to see photos of the corpses on the hospitals, lying on the floor because there was no more space for them; I also see the traces of violence on the streets - bullet holes, houses burned down, and thousands of places robbed by low-life scums. And not for a single moment I have hold any kind of anger against the american soldiers or the former members of the dictatorship, the only thing I feel repulsion is for war itself. Violence is bad. I don't even have a gun on my house and I don't think I ever will. Playing a computer games like Marathon is something different, and I think the world should follow this example: leave violence for fiction only.
