After much thinking and trying-to-get-ahold-of, we've come up with this plan for a
bit of Aleph One fun over the holidays. Starting before you read this, a map creating
contest for the betterement of Aleph One online play is being held. The maps will be
judged in an Aleph One Online Fest, which will begin on the 17th, which is the
deadline for the maps. The categories will be Capture the Flag and Rugby. For
inormation on how to create these maps and what the game types are exactly, visit
source.bungie.org-Aleph One. All maps must be
textured in the standard infinity textures, support up to eight players, be compatible
with the latest version of Aleph One. Also, kicking ass is a definite plus for all maps.
Judgement will be made on fun, so make them really fun too. Be creative in
interpreting these game types, and stretch the system to its limits, taking advantage
of the hard work the AO coders have put in on a great project. Finally, gl and hf!
