Tempus Irae - Mapmaker's Map?
Posted By: RyanmanDate: 12/7/03 9:56 a.m.

I thoroughly enjoy reading the posts from the Volunteers. They have added meaning and insight to every scenario that they've analyzed.

The posts concerning TI are especially intriguing to me as it is the only scenario I've never finished. I don't remember exactly how many levels I completed, not many, 4 or 5? Are there many more?

I stopped playing because of the frustration level (different than difficulty). The levels I played seemed too much like an exercise in "look at what I can do!" rather than "look what an engaging scenario I made!" I started to think of it as maps made for mapmakers to marvel at rather than for players to play. Of course that was many years ago...

Anyway, after reading some of the commentary from the Volunteers concerning many of the same frustrations that I had, I was wondering if anyone felt the same way or had a differing point of view.

I would also be interested to know how the non-mapmakers judged TI as opposed to those who are skilled in the arts.

Thanks,
Ryan
