Oh, and I called myself 'thermoplyae'. Ah, the irony. Anyhow. Like I've posted everywhere else that I can find, I'm looking for a simple AlephOne logging system. Noticed how HL or similar games write out lines to a file that say things like '{CB4}Nova killed {CB4}BlackKnight with usp'? I'm looking for something similar in AlephOne. To be honest, after looking at the source it doesn't look like it would be /horribly/ hard. However, I code in Pascal rather than C[++], so what do I know? Perhaps an example would help: ...
It doesn't seem like it would be horribly hard to implement with a call to the logging file everytime someone starts a game, finishes a game, picks up a powerup, and kills any player [I do believe it's found at line 811 in player.c for those who don't know already]. So, Woody, who wrote out Logging.cpp, any thoughts on this? [I write this because I've started introducing people around here at LANs to AlephOne. They love it, but they want stat counters. I can write stat counters ... but I can't write loggers. :/] |
