Something I noticed while playing Infinity. Sorry if this has already been pointed out:
The SMG feeds from a “drum” magazine and supposedly fires a smaller caliber round (either 10mm or 4mm, it doesn’t mater) than the AR. The AR feeds from a traditional “banana clip” magazine and supposedly fires a higher caliber round than the SMG. Why, then, does the SMG carry less ammo per-clip than the AR? For comparison purposes, a 10mm round is about the same size as a .45. If the AR does in fact fire a .75 caliber round, it would seem logical that a clip for the SMG should be able to hold more ammo than a clip for the AR. Yet, when we look, the SMG’s drum mag (which generally carry more ammo than a banana clip) holds only 31 rounds, while the AR’s clip holds 52! Even if the SMG fires a bigger round than the AR, the whole point of a drum mag is to be able to carry more ammunition than a standard clip.
