	Durandal's First Return to Earth

	One of the more interesting curiosities in the Marathon Story is the fact that Durandal returned to Earth at some time during his quest to find Lh'owon. He tells us this in M2, Come and Take your Medicine: I warned Sol of its impending invasion, and even stayed long enough to show the UESG how to build Warp Capable Fusion Missiles. I feel some strange loyalty to humanity. This seems to be the only reference to his return visit in the entire trilogy, leaving much open to speculation. Curious then that there has been so little speculation in this forum ;^) Imagine, for a moment, how events may have unfolded. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a mammoth alien ship would have appeared in the solar system. There would have been no prior knowledge of the Pfhor and not even any knowledge of the destruction of Tau Ceti. And then the unbelievable communication from Durandal. Would he have been believed? Think of the possibilities. I'm suprised that no one has made a scenario based on this first contact with Durandal, Boomer and the S'Pht. And presumably you were on board, in stasis throughout the event - that is unless you simply forgot . . .
