I trying to gain an understanding of some things in Marathon ?.
1st) The very first terminal of marathon mentions a weapon that Durandal fears. From what I've read up on it sounds like this weapon is the tri xeem. Is this correct?
2nd) The story that Durandal tells in this same terminal(and Tfear tells in the manual) seems to be telling about what would happen if the Pfhor managed to activate the tri xeem and release the W'rkncacnter from the sun of Lh'owon. But how could that be if these events could not occur until the end of the game(at which point you end up saving the day by activating the space station). Furthermore...Tfear makes it sound as though the W'rkncacnter have/has already been released from the sun of Lh'owon...if this is so, then what is the story that we are going through during the course of the game? Does the player go back in time via a pattern bufer in order to change things or something? I don't get it...
Would you explain this to me?
