Here's an observation on the unused pickup items "Pirated Copland Beta" and "One copy Windows NT". According to Jason Jones, the Copland beta was a shotgun, and the WinNT was its ammo. Has anyone tried putting these in a map? I remember that the Aliens 3.0 shapes/sounds patch had a map called "DEN O' FEAR", which had lots of Copland betas and copies of WinNT. The Copland beta seems to function as a Trip-O-Vision pickup, and the WinNT pickup appears to be an Un-Trip-O-Vision thing. Both use the Defense Center Repair Chip (a.k.a. Lost Zip Disk) shapes. These functions must have been placeholders, added when Bungie decided not to include the boomstick. Marathon would have been much easier with a shotgun, wouldn't it? Definitely good for dealing with Bob-Jam...
