Hey all, I've been recovering from a six-month long burst of creativity in story-writing ideas for games. Now that I'm able to make some sense of the random notes I've been taking, I'm trying to figure out how to put non-player characters into a Marathon scenario in a meaningful way. The idea comes from graphic novels, where visual action is combined with depth of relationships. The Crow, for example, is about a kick-ass zombie superhero who totes around a small arsenal, but he has loves and emotions. Could one put this into Marathon? I think so, becuse the terminal screens are very graphic-novel-ish. But I'm really not sure how to implement this stylishly. Any thoughts? I would really like to pump some freshness into Marathon, and I think a human side to the violence would be just the thing. Sam |
