	Cortana's change

	Sorry to dredge up something only vaguely related to Marathon. But, I was looking at the Cortana letters just now, and I noticed that there seemed to be a big change in the way Cortana "acted" in the letters and in the game. In the game she jokes around a bit, but is for the most part just your ally, comrade, and friend. In the letters she seems downright... rampant. There's also quite a distinct reference to Durandal in the first letter "from a friend of a friend" and yet (as so many other posts have shown) there doesn't seem to be any corellation between Marathon and Halo. But one thing still bugs me about that, I forget where I read this, but didn't one of the Bungie employees say that the game took place between M2 and oo?
