	I just saw the movie "War of the worlds" from 1953. It struck me how the martians in the movie look a bit like the S'pht Kr in Marathon. They both use sleek metallic vessels which float above the ground. The martians fire green bolts (as well as red beams) and they put up forcefields when shot at. Maybe someone at Bungie used the movie as a source of inspiration while designing the S'pht Kr. Then again, it might as well be pure coincidence/imagination. -- Hugo Forss
