In Response To: Rubicon Volunteers - Sea of slime (Inverted Sock Puppet)

: I (being totally ignorant in all things forge related) have no idea how the
: Rubicon team managed to do this but it looks hard. Basically there's red
: tendrils of vegetation coming down everywhere; this stuff is EXTREMLY
: dense just at the beginning of The Swamp™. This makes it very hard to see
: the looker, then the hunter, some wasps, some more hunters and some
: fighters. Oh yeah there's some of the flying mines here too. The Swamp™ is
: a great area, especially the first time you play.

The red vines were actually really hard to make. I believe the process was something similar to what follows. Keep in mind, I think we worked on the vines on and off for 2 years.

1. Make a polygon
2. Option click the walls or whatever you do to make a "see through bluescreen" texture.
3. make sure when you did that, the wall type was either set to pulsating or throbbing (I dont remember). Because you option clicked the wall, it should have the throbbing effect now (if you just option clicked a line, I think it wouldn't).
4. Fill in the polygons behind it.

This should work. Wait, who I am kidding. I haven't touched Forge since Rubicon was released. This will never work. Nevermind. But throbbing and option click and polygon filling. Something like that.. CLUND?!?!
