SMB1 plus Bridges & Balconies

Hey, all. I've semi-recently started working on a Marathon (or maybe Aleph One) tribute to Super Mario Bros. 1; I've completed three textures so far, with the other however many on the way. It'll probably be multiplayer only, cuz I can't think of how I'd make the enemies pace back and forth or go in a straight line the way they do in the real game, though if I figure it out, I may make a single-player scenario for Infinity, too. It's gonna be real cool, hopefully - if I ever finish it - but if I could use B&B, then it would be hugely cooler, much easier to make, nicer-looking, and probably more fun for both me and anyone else who plays it.

So, does AO have working B&B? And does it have good multiplayer capabilities yer? While I've sorta tried multiplayer, it gives me an error message with the text "network games == false" (or something along that line), and I haven't gone poking around in the source. I've also sorta looked around for B&B, and apparently there's already a set syntax at the Aleph One page, but I don't know how I'd implement it (and yeah, I did see that I should look for this in a future version, but it's Descartes' dilemma).
If AO doesn't have multiplayer, but does have B&B, then I might make a single-player scenario and use some MML/Phortran to make the enemies do their old-school thang. If AO has both good multiplayer and B&B, then I'll probably do both a single-player scenario and some multiplayer carnage maps.

Hoping for affirmative answers,
-Lunair
