Ever since the newest novel has been announced nothing else has been said about it. I wonder if it will take place on Installation 04 or if it will continue beyond it? Will it connect Halo 1 and 2 or will it just be background info on other parts of the game, like the possible surviving spartans or the second-gen spartans? Will it explain how the Chief goes from a Mark 5 to a Mark 6 battle armor? Is Dr. Halsey still alive in her under ground/under mountain lab on Reach?
Halo 2 appears to start off near or on Earth itself, which is under invasion from the covenant. Unfortunately for the Chief he appears to be a little late to the party, but whether or not he was doesn't seem to really matter because 343 GS is out there somewhere more than likely trying to get to the next Halo and activate it, even though the flood appear to have been stopped. The only way to stop the flood is to destroy it's food after all, and its' food is still alive. So many questions... must have Halo 2...
The spartans, when launching themselves through space similar to what the Chief does to get on board the covenant ship in the trailer, are indeed the only ones that can survive that fall ;) Although in zero gravity I guess you can't really "fall" anywhere...
