In Response To: In search of Adv. lighting tutorials (Ernie) : How is this done? Is there a way to edit that 0-20 (or more, or less..)
Go to Forges "View" menu, choose a lights dialog (doesn't matter if it's floor, ceiling or liquid) and either double click on one of the existing squares or double click the ghosted one to make a new light.... This is actually pretty well covered in the Forge manual and movie tutorial If I remember... been about 5 years =P Looking at other peoples maps is the best way to learn how to make a particular type of light. As far as making lights that change their states after certain amounts of time, this can be done with Tags (triggered by hitting switches) or with light triggers (set off by walking over polys). Each light has 2 different cycles - active and inactive. And by linking these triggers to a light you can toggle which one will be played on any texture using that light. - Todd. |
