Sort of like what the Bobs say in the Marathon series; they have these possible types of sounds: Waking up (5)
In the ()'s are how many of each type of sound. There are 11 of each type of sound, each of which has as many as 5 sounds associated with it. However, Halo will have about 8000 sounds with 160 sounds per AI unit, implying 50 different AI units. And a Marathon-like number of sound types implies 15 sounds per type. The sheer bulk is also worth noting; at 1 second/sound, the dialogue comes out to be about 2 hours of sound. To me, that seems grandiose in the extreme -- what's the point of going to such extremes? Of course, this could be a misstatement -- that 7000-8000 figure could be for *all* the sounds in Halo, instead of spoken-dialogue sounds.
