In Response To: Marathon (knap) : Hi All,
Sure. The footwear you're really gonna want to utilize is going to change with the terrain you plan on running in. Adidas would be good if you know for a fact that you'll be staying on a dry, relatively level surface for a long amount of time. The obvious advantage to this is it keeps your step light and increases overall speed. Now if you plan on seeing a lot of heavy action in more rugged terrain, I'd suggest a pair of some steel-toed hiking/working boots, preferably with an oiled leather outside and oil and blood resistant soles. You're not gonna be quite as fast, but they're a lot better than a pair of cross-trainers when you're dodging staff bolts in canyonous terrain. In situtations where you'll be swimming thorugh sewage, hopping in lava, or galavanting around abandoned orbital stations in vacuum, there really isn't anything you should wear except self-sealing sheilded high-impact resistant combat boots, UESC standard issue. And don't forget to take plenty of ammo. |
